Boards are covered in gray cloth with black printing on spine plus graphic on the cover. They are clean and straight, free of any sort of significant wear, bumps or fading. Externally this book is in lovely condition.

Interior is clean and firmly bound, unfortunately a previous owner has glued the fly page to the front pastdown having done a substantial job such that it can not be separated. Other than this irregularity, there is modest age toning, no foxing and no apparent previous owner names, marks, creases or tears.
Once again Mr. Blanding has created a lovely collection of verses, some of Hawaii, some of the Southwest, others from Florida and there about. Drifter’s Gold is filled with the woodcut graphics for which Mr. Blanding is also equally known. This volume contains 32 full-page illustrations listed in his table of contents plus an equal number or more of partial page decorations. Also contained is the rather haunting story provided by renowned Hawaii born author, Armine von Tempski and put to verse by Mr. Blanding.

DRIFTER’S GOLD I’ve squandered the gold that is minted coins
With carefree and spendthrift hands,
Buying folly and sorrow and joy
On the byways of many lands.
But the gold that is minted from memories
That I’ve gleaned from the world’s far ends
I’ve hoarded and saved against the day
When I could share it with friends.

DRIFTER’S GOLD is sure to entertain and captivate. USPS Priority Mail Delivery, securely packed to prevent shipping damage, Insurance Coverage Recommended, USPS INTERNATIONAL Priority Mail Delivery in the economical Flat Rate Packet to 180 countries worldwide. Flat Rate Boxes available for large orders or Standard International Priority shipping rates by the pound/kilo. Standard GE tax applicable on sales to all residents of the State of Hawaii.
These words are carved in lasting line,
My prayer, “Lord, I do give Thee thanks
For the abundance that is mine.”

“Why ask for proof that soul lives on when body dies;
Do caterpillars recognize their angel-selves In butterflies?”
